I Am Grateful

10 10 2008

I am grateful. I have a beautiful home. I have an amazing family who love me very much. I have a job I actually enjoy. I have friends who truly care about me. I have health and countless other things.

But above all else, I have Christ. Not because of anything I’ve done, but by His grace alone, I am saved.

I am grateful.

I love my days off

17 08 2008

Don’t misunderstand me, I love my job. It’s challenging and exciting and always changing, and I work with amazing people and for the best company on the planet. I love my job.

I just love my family more. And today I got to spend the day with them. Breakfast at my parent’s house, church outside, naps, watching the Sox pummel the A’s, then taking Claire to the park and giving her a bath.

This is what life is all about. Days like today.

AIDS Caregiver Kits

10 08 2008

This morning, my family and Jericho Road Church helped assemble over 200 caregiver kits to give to those helping victims of AIDS and HIV in Africa. It was an incredible experience and we had a blast. This is exactly the type of work I’d like to see our church do more of. The cause was very important and the effort was very organized and the turnout was amazing! We also saw lots of new faces. Visit worldvision.org for more information about these kits.

Ryan’s Web Gallery!

3 07 2008

If you haven’t yet visited Ryan’s Web Gallery, you’re missing out. It’s the best way I have to post and share photos and video of our new arrival. It’s also a way to have other post their own photos and video of Ryan as well.

I will soon be getting Claire’s Web Gallery updated as well. We have numerous pictures of her scattered in many different places, and I will be consolidating them this week. Gotta love MobileMe!

Ryan’s First Day

3 07 2008

Ryan’s first day was quite busy. He was born at 5:33 AM, where he was greeted by his mother, father, and one of his grandmothers. Soon after, he met all of his grandparents, and most importantly, his big sister Claire. He also met cousins, great aunts and uncles, great grandparents, and also many friends and family. At least he knows he’s well loved! He’s doing very well and we can’t wait to take him home on Friday. Thanks for all of your love and support!

Claire’s Pool

24 06 2008

Claire Enjoying Her Pool.On Sunday, the weather was gorgeous, so we decided to set up Claire’s new wading pool in the backyard. We had a blast! The water pressure from our hose is a little low, but it made for a somewhat more laid back experience. Good times!

5 Days and Still No News

22 06 2008

So, five days have gone by since my last post and there’s still no real news to report. We’re still waiting for the contractions to get more regular. They’ve definitely slowed down, but are still happening every once in a while. As always, we’ll keep you posted if anything happens!

It’s starting…

17 06 2008

While I was working today, around 5:30 PM or so, Laura called me to say, “I’m having contractions.” This wasn’t the “I had a contraction,” or, “I think that was a contraction,” this was a sure thing. Here I am, however, at almost midnight, and the contractions are still occurring, but they’re not consistent yet. We’ll keep you posted!!!

When Will He Arrive?

12 06 2008

So, we’ve been told July 5th as the original due date. Then at the first ultrasound we were told closer to late June, then at the most recent ultrasound, we were told June 20th. However, the original due date of July 5th still stands!

Laura feels ready to have this thing at any moment, so we’re banking on sometime in late June. Of course, we’ll let you know as soon as there’s anything else to report.
