@AnnaGreeno You will miss it. It's a slow process of independence and needing you less and less. Sad and exciting all at once.

It's been a forgone conclusion that, yes, I do need my own domain and website. However, it has not been clear as to how to use this space. I've historically used it to host static html pages talking about me and/or my music. I then "faked" a blog using html. Then I tried various content management systems (Drupal before I knew how to use Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, RapidWeaver, then back to Wordpress).

I stuck around with Wordpress for a while, but then after spending A LOT of time in Drupal to create our church's website from scratch, I finally figured out what Drupal was all about. As a blogging platform, it's a lot of work. In fact, to get Drupal to do much of anything is a lot of work. However, the possibilities are endless. Think of Drupal as a bucket of Legos. You can create whatever you want. You can do it on your own, or you can follow prescribed recipes. It may be a lot of work, but a majority of the fun is building it, and building it exactly how you want it.

So, here I am with a Drupal site that's basically a blogging platform. I still have a lot of tweaking I want to do and a lot of things I want to try (post from my iPhone, taxonomy, posting images and videos, integration with social networking sites, etc.). So, if you decide to come back, please be aware that this is a construction zone (don't worry, I won't be putting an "under construction" animated gif anywhere on the site). Enjoy playing and watch your step!
